ABA Therapy in Sikar

To your child it looks mostly like structured play. One therapist, one child, a written plan, and activities and rewards chosen because your child likes them rather than because they were on a list.
A skill is split into steps. Your child manages the first, is rewarded, and the next step is made slightly harder. What happened gets written down, and that record decides what the following session does. Over a few months those steps add up to something your child could not do before.
We also use the end of sessions to show you what we did, because the strategies have to be the same at home for any of it to stick.

ABA works through repetition. A skill practised twice a week moves; the same skill practised once a fortnight usually does not, because the gap is long enough for the child to lose ground between sessions.
That makes ABA the therapy that suffers most when families have to travel for it. Parents commit at the start, manage it for a few months, and then real life — work, other children, the cost and time of the journey — makes the schedule slip. The therapy has not failed. It simply has not happened often enough to work.
Running ABA here means your child can attend at the frequency their programme actually calls for, and it means we can put the ABA session on the same day as their speech or occupational therapy so you make one trip instead of three.

ABA has been criticised, and some of that criticism is fair. Older forms of it were rigid and compliance-driven — long repetitive drills, and pressure on autistic children to stop harmless behaviours so they would appear more typical. Practice has moved on, and these are the rules we work to:
• We never work on stimming. Flapping, rocking and similar behaviours help a child regulate themselves, and taking them away helps nobody.
• No punishment, ever. Programmes run on reinforcement.
• A distressed child ends the activity. Progress forced through distress does not last.
• Goals are about making your child’s life easier, not about making an autistic child look non-autistic.
• Sessions are play-based and follow your child’s own interests rather than a fixed drill sheet.
• If ABA is not the right starting point for your child, we will tell you. For many children speech, occupational or sensory therapy comes first.
